What is Outside Creative?
Outside Creative is a personal creative project built around a passion for the outdoors, sport, adventure, and storytelling.
Created by Charlie Copeman, this project is an outlet for me to explore the connection between outdoor culture and modern marketing — documenting experiences, reviewing outdoor gear and creating content inspired by life outside.
From wild camping and multi-day hikes to climbing sessions, Outside Creative is about more than just content. It’s about capturing the feeling of being outdoors and trying to inspire others to feel the same through help and guidance.

Outside Creative is also a portfolio in progress — a place for me to experiment, learn, and build real-world experience within the sports and outdoor industry. Every project, article and piece of content is part of a bigger mission: to create meaningful work inspired by the outdoors.
At its core, Outside Creative represents curiosity, creativity, and the belief that the best ideas often come from time spent outside.
About me
I was born in Hull and lived there until I was 22, when I moved to Leeds. I decided to move to Leeds to study sports marketing at Leeds Beckett University, and haven’t looked back since. I have now graduated, and this is my post-university project.
I was always into sports as a kid, and played football since I can remember, right up until the age of 16, sadly running out of local clubs to play for. After football, I had a bit of a hiatus from sports and fitness in general until I started boxing with my best friend. This decision changed my life completely.
Getting back into sports and fitness was the best thing I ever did, and it is part of the reason I have so much passion for sharing my experiences with the world.
Another reason is that I can do so through a creative outlet and have the chance to express my creative vision through the framework of my passions. This project is so exciting to me, as it marks the beginning of a new chapter in my life, forging a career and hoping to make a difference by providing authentic, meaningful and genuinely helpful content.
